BWN issued due to not consistently meeting State Entry Point Residual Disinfection (SERD) treatment levels of 1.1 mg/L. The BWN must remain in place until the water system submits a monthly operator report showing they meet all turbidity requirements, and is maintaining 1.1 mg/L of free chlorine at the entrance to distribution, or provide Chlorine Contact Time (CT) calculations showing they are meeting CT, or work with DEC to calculate CT.
